Can you change the payment method on Instacart after an order? ›

Change payment for an order

First, you must wait until after the order is delivered. Make sure the card you'd like to use is already added to your account. Contact Instacart Customer Experience to give us the last 4 digits of the card you'd like to move the charges to.

Make sure these details are correct—even a typo can cause a decline. Update your Instacart app or website with your new credit or debit card information if it expired recently. Check your bank account or credit card to make sure you can afford the Instacart order. Insufficient balance can prompt payment decline.

We do offer split payment. To use two methods of payment on the same order, add the items you need to your cart and follow the checkout process.

Customer privacy is important to us. Personal shoppers do not know whether a customer's order includes a payment by EBT card. The Instacart Shopper app uses a modified replacement logic for SNAP-eligible items. If a SNAP-eligible item is unavailable, the app suggests other SNAP-eligible items as replacements.

Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible.

What happens if the batch is canceled? If the customer cancels the batch after you've started working on the order you will be compensated for your time.

If you're the family account owner, you can only add 1 member at a time. If you want to add a new member to your family account, you first have to remove the current member. You can remove and add up to 3 separate members within a 60 day period.

Instacart allows only one personal account per person or household.

If you add items from multiple stores to your cart, you'll see items in your cart grouped by store. This creates a multiple-delivery order, with separate shoppers and delivery windows for each store. Separate delivery fees and minimums apply for each store.

Instacart workers show off hundreds of dollars in free food that they keep from canceled orders. 'This is the only perk of working Instacart. ' Instacart shoppers often end up with free groceries when they can't deliver an order.

Why won't Instacart let me use EBT? ›

You can use your EBT card at any participating retailer, as long as the state that issued your EBT card is currently participating in the SNAP Online Purchasing Pilot. Currently, Instacart can't accept EBT cash. If you can't use your EBT card at a retailer that accepts EBT, you may need to update the Instacart app.

Businesses like Uber, DoorDash, and Instacart primarily hire independent contractors to perform their services. Contractor earnings are technically not wages. However, these companies have contractual agreements granting the company permission to “garnish” the contractor's earnings.

Updates a delivery or pickup order. You can change the time slot, tip amount, instructions, user details, and items. You cannot update an order after the order is assigned to a shopper.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order for a full refund without any additional fees at any time before a shopper begins shopping. When you cancel an order during the shopping or delivery processes, you may be charged a cancellation fee of up to $15.

For missing or damaged items, we can issue a refund or credit towards a future order up to the amount you paid for an item. Instacart may issue a partial refund or credit for an item if only a portion of an item is missing or damaged.
